free sound samples

On this page, as a public service, Zen Duder is posting free sound samples.

All of the samples below are HQ studio quality 24bit 44.1Khz sample rate pcm wav format files recorded dry. They are not normalized or anything else. This is raw DAW in order to provide you with maximum flexibility as an engineer or producer. Most samples will include an introductory header talking about the gear used to record the sample, etc.

So feel free to download them, chop them up, add your own effects and use them as you please, with no baggage, completely copyright free with no open source license or any of that jazz. If you use them in a commercial project however, we would appreciate a simple credit as follows to keep you in good karma.

If you use them in any project, we would like to hear from you. Send us a link,[email m.enterprises.m@gmail.com] we would love to hear what you did with the samples.

Thank you for visiting our free samples page, and from Zen Duder to you we hope you find something you can use below.

Audio test pattern #1. This is a stereo 24 bit 44.1Khz pcm wav file. It contains 1 second of 1000Hz sine wave to begin, followed in 5 seconds by 5 seconds of 20Hz, followed by 5 seconds of silence then followed by 5 seconds of 1000Hz, then 5 seconds of 1000Hz left channel, then 5 seconds of 1000Hz right channel, then finally by 5 seconds at 20,000Hz. These are all driven rail to rail at 0Db, phase difference is zero. This sample was composed on a custom version of the venerable Cool Edit Pro running on Windows 10.
